Multi-gender Unity Deals a Blow to the IS

Women guerilla fighters fighting alongside men in an example of multi-gender unity have been able to halt and give the Islamic State its first defeat. This is a blow to both sexism and fascism. Paralleling the first defeat of Napoleon at the hands of black former slaves who became adept guerilla fighters, thousands of veteran female guerilla fighters using small arms and without air support have done what none of the bosses’ forces have been able to do: they’ve halted IS’s advance. They have proven what the Communist revolutionaries in China pronounced, It is the political commitment of the soldier that brings victory, not the technology.

Much like we did during the war of US imperialist aggression in Vietnam, The Progressive Labor Party is taking a principled left position. Just as we supported and were inspired by the heroic Working class in Vietnam to struggle with and eventually defeat US imperialism, but criticized their nationalism and correctly pointed out that it would not lead to Communism, we are doing the same thing with the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK).

The PKK has even given up the pretense of fighting a national liberation struggle for Socialism as a means to achieving Communism, not that Socialism could anyway. They have embraced terrorist tactics and have allegedly run narcotics that enslave and destroy the lives of many workers. They have targeted the working class in Turkey and are currently negotiating the price of their exploitation with the bosses! So, even though they do make a point of fighting against patriarchy, PLP knows the answer to the national question is that all revolutionaries must fight nationalism, a rotten and divisive ideology utilized by the bosses to divide the working class and win us to an all class unity against our own interests. We know that the other side of nationalism is racism. The nationalism for a Kurdistan is racism towards the working class in Turkey. Our comrades in Israel struggle against both Israeli nationalism and Palestinian nationalism just as out friends in Pakistan struggle against nationalism and religious fundamentalism. So, even with the opportunism, revisionism, and watered down Marxism of the PKK, due to their commitment to struggling against sexism, they are still able to be the only force to go toe to toe with the extreme fascism of the Islamic Stare and win.

This struggle illustrates that even such a low level left movement as the terrorist-labeled PKK can be a burst of inspiration in this dark night of capitalism as they struggle against the downright turn to medievalism that the IS represents. Objectively, and ironically, it is better long term for revolutionaries to build PLP where they are than it is for them to go to Northern Syria to join the PKK in armed struggle against IS. They are not a revolutionary Communist organization. We applaud their victory and multi-gender unity and their example of how to defeat fascism, but we know they are running full speed down the dead end of nationalism and will eventually betray the working class. PLP is the revolutionary Communist organization that will end exploitation once and for all.

The multi-gender unity in such intense struggle against IS parallels the multi-racial unity needed to defeat the extreme racism that US capitalism needs in order to survive. Capitalism can survive any crisis except an armed working multi-racial working class directly struggling against racism. Capitalism needs racism, whether the gutter racism in Ferguson or the religious based racism of IS, it still fuels the same machine.

ANSWER TO RACIST POLICE MURDER — REBELLION

The cold-blooded racist police murders of Eric Garner and Michael Brown were not isolated events; the cops killed them, and continue to target black workers and youth because the vicious racist ruling class needs to terrorize us into accepting a future of poverty and imperialist war. We don’t accept it!

We don’t accept a life where being black means you can be gunned down at any moment with little to no consequence. We don’t accept a system where the lives of Shantel Davis, Kyam Livingston, Kimani Gray, Eric Garner, Rhamarley Graham, and Michael Brown mean nothing to these killer kkkops; this system doesn’t deserve to exist! We call on everyone to build support for the rebellion started in Ferguson, at your schools, at work, in your churches and in your unions.

The anti-racist rebellion in Ferguson shows us that when push comes to shove, the racist police are no match for a united and fighting working class. Lead mostly by unemployed youth, the rebels have basically foiled the Ferguson and St. Louis County police and the black State Police Captain; they broke the curfew and forced the Governor to call out the National Guard – showing us all what’s possible when workers fight back! Not only did they stand up to tanks, tear gas and riot cops, but they defied Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, who all rushed to put out the fire. We have a lot to learn from them.

Politicians, preachers, cops and the media all labeled the militant youth everything but what they are — they are rebels that lead a powerful uprising; they are not looters, rioters or misguided. On the whole the youth targeted the racist bosses and their goons.

The rebels broke capitalist laws, the same laws which protect mass murderers that are responsible for millions of deaths from racist profit wars, global drug cartels, mass poverty and unemployment. These gangsters in suits walk free, run businesses, command armies and hold government power. The ruling class tries to paint blacks, Latinos and the immigrant working-class as criminals, but in reality, it is bosses who are the enemies, the real criminals, closing hospitals and killing patients as well as workers and children in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.

Only a revolutionary communist society where the working class has power can rid the world of racist killer kkkops. The capitalist courts encourage and tolerate cops who murder black, Latino and immigrant workers. Meanwhile, five million black and Latino workers and youth are forced into the criminal injustice system, either imprisoned, on probation or on parole. Seventy percent of the 2.4 million in U.S. prisons are black and Latino. And if cops do get punished it’s a slap on the wrist.

Join and build the revolutionary communist Progressive Labor Party (PLP) and build an international multi-racial movement to crush racism from New York City to Ferguson to Gaza with armed revolution!

The growth of a fighting PLP is the only way to guarantee that the bosses won’t get away with racist police murder. No matter how long it takes, PLP will eventually lead the working class to smash the bosses’ cops and courts and establish a communist society worthy of every worker struck down by capitalism worldwide.

Ferguson: Communist Revolution only Solution

The anti-racist rebellion in Ferguson, sparked by the cold-blooded murder of 18-year old Michael Brown, shows that when push comes to shove, the racist police are no match for a united fighting working class. Led mostly by unemployed youth, the rebels have basically routed the Ferguson and St. Louis County police and the black State Police Captain, broke the curfew and forced the Governor to call in the National Guard. And they are still fighting back.

PLP members were warmly welcomed by the rebels, with about 250 of them receiving CHALLENGE newspaper. We are in touch with dozens of fighters, and sending more comrades to the scene.

Despite the racist news coverage, there has been almost no looting, with the rebels’ anger focused like a laser on the cops. And the more they fight back the rebels are receiving overwhelming support here and internationally.

So now the FBI, State Police, Highway Patrol and National Guard troops are swarming this town of 21,000 people that no one much cared about two weeks ago. But not only have they stood up to the armed force of the racist capitalist class, they have also defied the ruler’s snake-oil salesmen, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who rushed there to put out the fire. And they have defied the pleas of Obama to “protest peacefully.”

Michael Brown would have been another in that long line of racist police killings, except this time the youth exploded in anti-racist rebellion, showing us all what’s possible. The racist billionaires and their government can’t teach our kids to read and can’t create jobs for young people. But when the people rebel, there’s no limit to what they will spend in military equipment and personnel and racist media coverage to try to stamp it out.

The anger in Ferguson is more than justified. And whatever violence has taken place has been fueled by the viciousness of the cops and the system they protect. The murder of Michael Brown is not an isolated event. This is not going to stop, until we stop it, by overthrowing the racist rulers with armed communist revolution. The cops are killing us because they need to terrorize us into accepting that the racist profit system that has nothing to offer but a future of poverty and war. We don’t accept it, and neither do the Ferguson rebels and their countless supporters.

We call on everyone to build support for the rebellion at school, at work, in your church or union. Participate in mass rallies and marches and get your union or community group to join in. But most of all join and build the revolutionary communist PLP. Let’s build a world based on equality, where racist terror is outlawed and the racist billionaires buried.

Ferguson update

Illustrating that racism knows no limits, the KKKops in Ferguson just killed another black member of the working class. The man allegedly had a knife and approached the racist police while asking for them to kill him. How much of this is true and how much was spun by the police to save their racist asses will come to light in the next few days. Unlike past events where the KKKops were allowed to just get away with it, a crowd of angry workers began chanting at them. “Hands up, don’t shoot” and “No Justice! No peace!” rang out as the protesters pointed out that the police did not need to use such lethal force since they had other options. Again, the racism that drives the U.S. capitalist system is rearing its ugly head.

Inter-imperialist rivalry is clearly illustrated in this tragedy as the humanitarian façade that the U.S. loves to use as they parade their black puppet president, Obama, is being challenged by its imperialist rivals. China, Iran, and other countries are now pointing out the extreme hypocrisy of the U.S.. Criticism of the US over Ferguson has similarly flowed from other repressive regimes, including China, with a comment piece published by the state-run Xinhua news service on Monday excoriating the US for the “racial divide” that “still remains a deeply-rooted chronic disease that keeps tearing US society apart, just as manifested by the latest racial riot in Missouri”. The images of heavily armed combat fatigued U.S. KKKops attacking peaceful protesters has become a liability to a ruling class used to being able to use imperialistically intervene in different geostrategically important areas under with some kind of humanitarian rationale.

The capitalist cherry-picked misleaders are urging calm, and the bosses’ media is trying to create sympathy for the murderer cop. The misleaders are saying to let the system work and for the investigators to do their job, yet how much would have come to light if the working class did not fight back. Ferguson is an inspiration to the international working class. Those brave protesters who opened fire on the police, threw Molotov cocktails at them, and refused to back down are a shining example of what we should do whenever any member of the working class is gunned down by the fascist KKKops. CNN’s very own Don Lemon got a brief taste of the fascism in Ferguson. He was given a first hand lesson in what the racist police do.

Progressive Labor Party continues to support the workers who are battling the KKKops in the street. We are happy to see workers who are engaging in armed struggle with the racist police. We would like to see more and more intense struggle break out as the ruling class desperately needs to build fascism on the bodies of the working class. PLP will continue to fight for a Communist world where the workers will not be gunned down by racist police defending the laws of capitalism.

Protesters Battle the KKKops In Ferguson

The Progressive Labor Party salutes the working class in Ferguson who engaged in armed struggle with the police. The racist ruling class tried to fool the primarily Black working class by putting a Black police officer in charge, but the appearance did not change the essence of racism at the heart of capitalism. As more and more evidence comes out, it appears much clearer that Michael Brown was shot execution style while holding his hands aloft. It appears more and more likely that the KKKops made up a story and tried to justify their murder of a young member of the working class.

Molotov cocktails were used against the police who are trying to impose a curfew on the working class. The fascist ruling class only allows free speech when it’s hate speech or pushes one of their rotten ideologies. When it’s angry Black workers demanding an end to the fascist conditions they’ve been exploited under for centuries, the ruling class takes off its kid gloves and unleashes the kind of hell they’re used to unleashing in the rest of the world. The kind of brutality they are able to unleash on any part of the working class as part of their imperialistic drive allows them to further brutalize their home ruling class.

The national guard called to the border in Texas against undocumented mostly children fleeing the conditions US capitalism created in South and Central America is also the national guard called into Missouri against the Black workers who have had enough. Basta Ya! Enough is enough in any language. It is about time the working class fought back against the violence of the state with armed struggle. As many a protester shouted, “they’ve got guns and we’ve got guns.” The ruling class was terrified because many young men were willing to die that night fighting against the racist injustice of capitalism.

Regardless of whether or not this working class violence against the state brings the racist police officer Wilson to some kind of discipline or reprimand, it won’t change the racist nature of the capitalist system. It will be only a matter of time before the KKKops kill another young black working class teenager. PLP wants to eradicate racism, and in order to do so, we must eradicate capitalism. The police, the courts, and the KKK are all a part of capitalism, and reforming it by indicting and disciplining one police officer, though it is a minor victory, will not fundamentally change the nature of the capitalist system.

The ruling class slipped their fascist hand in Missouri. They showed us workers what we can expect when we even peacefully use our first amendment guaranteed right to peacefully assemble — in a scene right out of Falluja, heavily armed KKKops masquerading as combat troops attacked and restored the order of capitalism. This is a clear reminder that the only rights the working class have under capitalism is what we are able to force the ruling class to give us. This is why we need state power. The working class needs to organize the PLP in Missouri so these gains and armed struggle are not lost. How great would it be if every time a racist pig gunned down a worker, an uprising occurred that none of the bosses’ stooges, not Sharpton nor pastors, could pacify. Justice will be served when the KKKop that killed that young man is turned over to the working class. By building PLP, and eventually a Communist revolution to put the working class into state power, justice will finally be served because there will no longer be capitalists protecting their murderous thugs in blue.

The Uprising in Missouri Illustrates the Need for Communism

With all that is happening in these dark days of the dark night that the working class is being brutalized under, there is a general feeling of powerlessness: the “what can I do about it?” syndrome. This passivity-bred powerlessness is vital to the interests of the ruling class. All of the massive problems facing the working class today are primarily caused by inter-imperialist rivalry. This passivity was smashed by the murder of a young man, Michael Brown, in St. Louis by the racist police. The murder of the young Missouri teen and father in Staten Island by racist pigs illustrates how before a ruling class can attack its rival ruling class, it must attack its own working class even more viciously. The purpose if these attacks is for the ruling class to discipline us in order to wage war, and this process is called fascism.
The uprising in Missouri, though inspiring, parallels the peasant uprisings that would rage like a firestorm until they were extinguished.

The killing has drawn comparisons by some civil rights leaders with the 2012 killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin by a Florida neighbourhood watch organiser who was acquitted of murder charges. PLP supports these rebels who are angry with the racist police, and we would have liked to see and have participated in this same action initiated by Garner’s death in Staten Island. We find it welcoming to see angry Black workers opening fire on the KKKops at the injustice of the racist system. In contrast to the narrative the police constructed in order to blame the teenage victim, Dorian Johnson, who said he was with Michael Brown, gave a different version of the police murder:

He told local broadcaster WALB a police officer told them to get out of the street and onto the sidewalk, and when they continued walking, the officer confronted them.
Protesters have called for the police officer to be prosecuted with murder…

A resident on the street where the shooting occurred told the Associated Press news agency Brown had his arms raised but the police officer stood over him and shot him (execution style).

The major contradiction inherent in this uprising is that the violence against the state, the petty bourgeoisie, and the reappropriation of products, called “looting” by the press, though inspiring to the working class, will not lead to Communism. It may lead to a temporary reform where the pigs may hesitate a bit more before murdering another black member of the working class, but it will not fundamentally alter the nature and role of the KKKops as the protectors of private property and inequality.

We must take to heart that in order for us to make systemic and lasting change, we must build revolution where we are. We need to build the Progressive Labor Party so that we can make a concrete and lasting change, not just rise up like a firestorm and then be put down. PLP condemns the racist police and the ideology of racism that justifies their action. We were born in the heart of the Harlem uprising and fully support workers rising up and fighting back, but the PLP must grow if we are to change the daily misery and exploitation of inter-imperialist rivalry.
